b'CTPF Trustees launched the anniversary year by passing a resolutionon January 16, 2025, in honor of the Funds 130 thAnniversary. The 130 thAnniversary provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the rich history of the Fund. Established on July 1, 1895, the Fund was established as the first teachers pension system in Illinois and the second in the nation. The pension plan was seen as an important way to help attract and retain professional teachers and to ensure their financial stability and 1895 dignity in retirement. The Fund began with 8,000 members and today 2025 includes more than 96,000 who depend on CTPF for their financial security in retirement.Pictured from left to right: Trustees Vicki Kurzydlo, Quentin S.
