CONSIDERING RETIREMENT IN 2026?
The steps you take now can ensure
a smooth transition.
GETTING STARTED
CTPF’s retirement resources page, available at ctpf.org/retirement-resources offers helpful
information for members considering retirement in 2026. Members can find the recorded
version of the 2026 retirement webinars along with the slides from the presentation at
ctpf.org. Webinars offered an overview of the CTPF and CPS retirement processes and
include information about post-retirement health insurance.
RETIREMENT APPLICATIONS AT myCTPF
The retirement process typically starts by downloading a Retirement Application, which is available through the secure member
self-service portal, myctpf.org or by calling Member Services. Once you register, you can download your application, request a
retirement estimate, update your email information (note: your CPS email will expire upon retirement), and access past
Member Statements. The retirement application includes a checklist of required personal identification documents needed to
process your application. Missing documents may result in delays. For questions or assistance, contact Member Services at
312-641-4464 or email memberservices@ctpf.org.
SCHEDULE A COUNSELING SESSION
If you have questions or require retirement counseling, the CTPF Member Services team
provides counseling appointments via phone, video, or in person. To schedule an appointment,
please contact Member Services at 312-641-4464 or email memberservices@ctpf.org. Please
note that walk-in appointments are not permitted; all visitors must be registered with building
security prior to their visit. Individuals attending an in-person appointment must present a valid
government-issued photo identification to the building’s security personnel. For further
information and to prepare for your visit, please refer to ctpf.org/office-information.
