2021 Retirement Webinar Registration Available

If you're considering retirement in 2021, please plan on joining the Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund (CTPF) for a retirement webinar. Webinars will be offered on February 15 and March 30, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The webinars provide a one-stop-shop for retirement information, including a general overview of the CTPF and CPS retirement processes. CTPF's Member Services Department will be available at all webinars to answer individual questions.

Register early for a CTPF Retirement Webinar. If you register by February 5th for the February 15th webinar, CTPF will provide you with a pension estimate, if applicable. Estimates will be sent via secure email.  

Register by March 19th to receive a pension estimate in time for the March 30th webinars.

PREPARING FOR RETIREMENT 

Here are a few additional steps to take now if you intend to retire in 2021: 

1. Download and refer to the retirement checklist in the Application for Service Retirement for a list of all required documents. The application can be accessed online at ctpf.org/retirement-resources. 

2. Collect or obtain the required personal identification documents listed on the checklist. Applications missing any documentation will not be accepted. 

3. Member Services now offers remote notarization for CTPF documents, in accordance with Illinois law. Members who would like assistance notarizing CTPF documents should call or email Member Services at 312.641.4464 or email memberservices@ctpf.org, and request a videoconference for notarization. 

4. Check your most recent Member Statement (or download it from myCTPF) and confirm that your personal information is up-to-date. Address and demographic changes need to be made with your employer. Find more information at ctpf.org/annual-member-statement
