The Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund Welcomes Dr. Miquel A. Lewis to Board of Trustees

The Chicago Board of Education has appointed Dr. Miquel A. Lewis to the CTPF Board of Trustees. Dr. Lewis was sworn in during the Trustees meeting on April 20, 2023. His term runs through October 31, 2023.

“We are pleased to welcome Trustee Lewis to the Board of Trustees,” said Carlton W. Lenoir, Sr., Executive Director. “We appreciate his passion for education and enriching the lives of students and look forward to working with him in the months ahead.”  

Trustee Lewis is a lifelong resident of Chicago and has been committed to serving a population of children that are often overlooked. He is currently the Acting Director/Chief Probation Officer for the Cook County Juvenile Probation and Court Services Department, and serves on the Supreme Court Committee on Juvenile Courts. Trustee Lewis has fifteen years of experience in forensic and organizational psychology in the public safety sector of local government. 

In addition, Trustee Lewis provides education and training to graduate-level students and professionals pursuing continued education certification. He serves on the Supreme Court Advisory Board and Illinois Probation and Court Services Board and is the former Chairman of Noble Network of Charter Schools. Trustee Lewis graduated from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, where he received a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Lewis received his B.A. in Psychology from Southern Illinois University.
