February 26, 2026, Springfield, Ill. – Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund Executive Director Carlton W. Lenoir, Sr., will testify at 10:00 a.m. before the Illinois House Personnel and Pensions Committee, in support of two pieces of legislation that will improve consistency and strengthen administrative oversight:
HB 4575 aligns the CTPF Teacher Trustee election petition deadline with those used for Pensioner and Principal/Administrator trustee elections.
HB 4576 requires charter schools to retain payroll records for five years, aligning recordkeeping requirements with CTPF audit needs.
Both bills are straightforward, commonsense measures designed to improve efficiency and accountability. Find links to the live video broadcast here: Illinois General Assembly - Live Audio & Video.
