Does Your School Have a CTPF Pension Representative?

News

Every school is encouraged to have a CTPF Pension Representative.

Pension representatives (Pension Reps) are valued members of CTPF. They help strengthen the connection between teachers and CTPF and support CTPF Trustee elections.

Who can serve as a Pension Rep?

A pension rep must be a certified, active teacher at a CPS or charter school. Retirees and administrators cannot serve in the pension rep role. If your school doesn’t have a Pension Rep and you’d like to volunteer, please email pensionreps@ctpf.org.

Pension Rep Responsibilities

  • Distribute pension-related materials at your school (newsletters, forms, Trustee election materials)
  • Support CTPF Trustee elections
  • Coordinate CTPF presentations for your school
  • Promote CTPF educational opportunities

Stipend

Pension Reps may earn a $100 annual stipend for their service.
