Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund (CTPF) Vice President Jacquelyn Price Ward was chosen as one of 20 Trailblazing Illinois Women who are champions of diversity and inclusion in financial services by the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP). Trustee Price Ward and the other honorees were recognized at the Trailblazing Women in Finance Honoree Luncheon on Thursday, April 11, 2024. NASP is the premier organization that helps African Americans, ethnic minorities, and women achieve inclusion in the financial services industry.

Elected the Fund’s Recording Secretary in 2018, Financial Secretary in 2020, and Vice President in 2022, Trustee Price Ward has chaired multiple committees including Finance and Audit, Pension Laws and Administrative Rules and Claims and Service Credits, and currently serves as Chair of the Investment Committee.
Trustee Price Ward has dedicated over 30 years to Chicago Public Schools, currently serving as a special education teacher at Bond Elementary. Her extensive experience includes leadership roles in unions, such as Recording Secretary for the Chicago Teachers Union and Vice President of the Illinois Federation of Teachers. She's also been involved in national programs, like the American Federation of Teachers Leadership Institute, where she served as an Officer Liaison. Additionally, she serves on the NCTR Trustee Education and Nominations Committees.
A lifelong learner, Trustee Price Ward earned her B.S. from Illinois State University, and earned a master’s degree in Elementary Education, Learning Disabilities & Social/Emotional Disorders and another master’s degree in Policy Studies and Administration from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
