The June 1, 2024, pension check mailing has been delayed by the US Postal Service. This only impacts the small percentage of members who receive printed checks. Checks were delivered on time to the Post Office processing facility, on May 30, 2024, as scheduled. As of June 5, 2024, members are reporting that checks have failed to reach their destinations. The Post Office has been unable to provide additional information about delivery.
CTPF understands the importance of these checks to our members and has made the decision to reissue the payments. The original checks will be voided.
New checks are being processed and will be mailed the week of June 10th. Members who receive the original check issued on May 30, 2024, should destroy them. Members uncertain about the validity of their checks should contact Member Services at 312.641.4464.
Direct deposit continues to be the most reliable form of delivery for members. Please contact CTPF Member Services at 312.641.4464 to request a direct deposit form or log on to the myCTPF member self-service portal to download one.
CTPF sincerely apologizes for this inconvenience, and we appreciate our members’ patience. We are working with our printer and the US Postal Service to determine the cause of the issue and will seek a resolution that will help ensure this situation does not happen again.
