Following Trustee Tina Padilla’s resignation due to retirement, the CTPF Board of Trustees declared a vacancy in a Teacher Trustee position.

CTPF bylaws require a committee of three Board of Trustees members be appointed to review candidates and make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees to fill the vacancy.

The Vacancy Committee appointed by CTPF President Jeff Blackwell includes Trustees Jacquelyn Price Ward (chair), Quentin Washington, and Victor Ochoa. The committee will meet on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., to review applications and make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees for their February 16, 2023, meeting.

The individual appointed to fill the position will serve until the scheduled election in November 2023.

Candidate Eligibility

Any eligible active teacher who meets the eligibility criteria may be considered to fill the vacancy. A candidate for the Teacher Trustee position must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Interested candidates should submit a resume and a candidate statement, outlining qualifications and interest to Carlton W. Lenoir, Sr., Executive Director, at elections@ctpf.org, no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, January 27, 2023.
