Response Time

All FOIA/Public Records requests are responded to in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.

Non-Commercial Request

A response to a non-commercial request is sent within five business days of the date of the request, unless an extension of up to five business days is requested by CTPF in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. The time for unduly burdensome requests, that are narrowed, begins to run once the request has been narrowed.

Commercial Request

A response or an approximate date of response to a commercial request is sent to the requester within 21 business days of the date of any commercial request as required by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.

Recurrent requesters and voluminous requests, as defined under section 3(g), 3.2, and 3.6 of the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, are subject to their own, separate timelines
