The Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund (CTPF) is a defined benefit retirement plan which provides a lifetime retirement benefit to vested members who meet minimum age and service requirements.

Educational Workshop for Active Members
CTPF hosted an educational workshop for active members in cooperation with the CTU Pension and Insurance Committee on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. The presentation provided an overview of general pension information including:

Disability Benefits
A disability pension may be payable in the event of permanent disability with certain qualifications and service requirements. Download the Understanding Disability Benefits information sheet for information about the two types of disability benefits offered by CTPF and how to apply for disability.
Survivor & Death Benefits
The survivor and death benefits provided by CTPF are an important part of a family's financial future. If you are aware of the death of a CTPF member, please contact Member Services, 312.641.4464, to report the death so CTPF can begin the process of paying any benefits due.
